Types of Membership
The following is taken directly from MAPS' constitution:
Applicants who have been elected to membership shall be classified by the Executive Committee. The membership of this Association may be divided into five classifications; Professional, Ordinary, Associate, Honorary and Life members.
Professional members (by application)
Professional members shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of the Association, and shall share in its responsibilities.
Any individual shall be eligible for Professional membership in the Association who:-

Ordinary members shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of the Association, and shall share in its responsibilities. - Any individual shall be eligible for Ordinary membership in the Association who:-
Associate Members (by application)
Associate members are members who are in the process of learning to become Ordinary members.
Any individual shall be eligible for Associate Membership in the Association who :-
Honorary membership (by appointment through AGM)
Honorary membership may be conferred upon any person by a two-thirds vote of the members present in a general meeting. Such memberships shall be restricted to persons whose activities and public standing or reputation are consistent with the purpose of our Association.
Honorary Membership is only an honorary position and shall carry with it No Rights, including voting rights or obligations of membership except as the Executive Committee may determine. In the Constitution, all references to "members" should not refer to Honorary Members unless the context clearly recognizes otherwise.
Life Membership (by appointment by the Executive Committee)
Life Membership may be approved by the Executive Committee upon such terms and conditions as may be determined by the Executive Committee from time to time.
